No attitude. Real community.
Our guests are a diverse mix of the global LGBTQIA+ community seeking a safe and no-attitude bar. We are and always will be a place for people to come and be themselves.
A bar where people can show up as themselves.
The Hole is rooted in the culture of leather, fetish, kink and BDSM, while remaining welcoming to the diverse global LGBTQIA+ community and our friends.
These values guide how we welcome guests, preserve community culture, support the arts, and create nightlife that feels respectful, expressive, and connected.
Whether you are a regular, a first-time visitor, a leather or gear community member, an IML traveler, a neighborhood guest, or someone looking for a place to belong for the night, these values are part of what makes The Hole The Hole.
How we make decisions.
These values keep The Hole focused on what matters: accessible nights out, genuine hospitality, queer creativity, community partnership, and a real connection to the neighborhood around us.
Value
Value drives all our decisions; our guests seek and deserve a strong value proposition and the highest quality we can offer.
Service
Always genuine, always approachable, The Hole experience delivers thoughtful hospitality in a no-attitude environment.
Arts
The Arts is a vital part of a strong community and integral component to each of our spaces. Preservation and display of historic and current works of arts for the leather, fetish, kink and BDSM communities are a unique feature of The Hole.
Community
Always welcoming, accessible and comfortable, The Hole supports the community through partnerships benefiting neighborhood non-profits, social groups, and organizations that further education, the arts and sustainability.
Local
The Hole embraces a commitment to support local businesses, non-profits and community clubs and organizations, and be active champions for the communities to which we belong.
Everyone has a role in protecting the space.
Great nightlife only works when guests understand the expectations. Our House Rules and Zero Tolerance Drug Policy help keep The Hole welcoming, accountable, and safer for the communities we serve.
Consent is not optional.
The Hole is a social, expressive, gear-friendly space, but respect comes first. Our House Rules outline expectations around consent, behavior, boundaries, and shared responsibility.
Before you visit, especially for events and late-night programming, review the House Rules.
No drugs. No dealing. No exceptions.
Any patron caught using, attempting to sell, or attempting to offer drugs to anyone at the bar will be subject to immediate expulsion.
